product description
Standard lead-acid batteries have one major advantage over lithium batteries, namely a high discharge capacity (up to C3). However, in order to counteract sulphation, which would significantly shorten the battery´s service life, the charging time for lead-acid batteries is considerably longer (up to 10 hours = 0.1). The new lead-carbon technology offers the solution here. The negative plates of these batteries are made of lead and carbon, combining the advantages of normal lead-acid batteries with those of a supercapacitor. The addition of carbon ensures that these batteries have a higher charge acceptance and therefore need to be charged for less time than normal lead-acid batteries. They also offer more power and are more resistant to extremely low temperatures. Adding lead (Pb) to the negative plate also reduces resistance, resulting in a longer service life. Furthermore, this latest technology suppresses sulphation better than any other technology.
Features:
• Maintenance-free alternative to AGM and gel
• Better cycle life: > 1300 cycles (70% DoD) and up to 1000 cycles with (80% DoD)
• Excellent performance at (extremely) low temperatures
• Affordable
• Charging time is shorter than with normal AGM
• Lead-carbon batteries can be used with good performance without being 100% charged.
