A manual high-lift pallet truck works in a similar way to a hand pallet truck; it is manoeuvred using a tiller. The forks can be raised by pumping the tiller, but with these models, the forks can be pumped up to shelf height.
Some models also feature a foot pump for fine-tuning the fork height.
