The VLITEX fire-retardant mat for electric forklift trucks meets the test requirements of DIN SPEC 91489.
Electric forklift trucks are indispensable in numerous sectors – from logistics and the manufacturing industry to warehousing and distribution centres. However, with the increasing use of lithium-ion batteries, the risk of fires is also growing. These fires are particularly dangerous as they are difficult to extinguish and quickly reach high temperatures whilst releasing toxic fumes. This is where fire suppression blankets for electric forklift trucks come into play.
The VLITEX fire containment blanket has been specially developed for electric forklift trucks to ensure maximum safety in the event of battery fires. It serves as a preventative safety measure by being draped over electric forklift trucks to protect the surrounding area from heat, smoke and flames in the event of a fire. The fire containment blanket features eyelets and four telescopic poles to make it easy to drape the blanket over the forklift. Ideal for manufacturing, warehouses, factories, haulage companies and anywhere where electric forklift trucks, cleaning machines or small electric vehicles are used.
DThe robust fibreglass fabric, reinforced with a heat-resistant silicone coating, withstands extreme temperatures – up to 1,000°C continuously and even up to 1,750°C for short periods. Battery fires, which burn independently without an oxygen supply, are kept under control beneath the blanket. Another key advantage: heavy smoke production is significantly reduced, minimising the impact on people and the environment.
