Description
The VLITEX fire-retardant mat for electric forklift trucks meets the test requirements of DIN SPEC 91489. Electric forklift trucks are indispensable in numerous sectors – from logistics and the manufacturing industry to warehousing and distribution centres. However, with the increasing use of lithium-ion batteries, the risk of fires is also growing. These fires are particularly dangerous as they are difficult to extinguish and quickly reach high temperatures whilst releasing toxic fumes. This is where fire containment blankets for electric forklift trucks come into play. The VLITEX fire containment blanket has been specially developed for electric forklift trucks to ensure maximum safety in the event of battery fires. It serves as a preventive safety measure by being draped over electric forklift trucks to protect the surrounding area from heat, smoke and flames in the event of a fire. The fire containment blanket features eyelets and four telescopic poles to allow the blanket to be draped over the forklift with ease. Ideal for manufacturing, warehouses, factories, haulage companies and anywhere where electric forklift trucks, cleaning machines or small electric vehicles are used.

The robust fibreglass fabric, reinforced with a heat-resistant silicone coating, withstands extreme temperatures – up to 1,000°C continuously and even up to 1,750°C for short periods. Battery fires, which burn independently without an oxygen supply, are kept under control beneath the blanket.
