description
Gel batteries are completely sealed, leak-proof and maintenance-free, just like AGM batteries.
As the name suggests, the electrolyte in these batteries has a gel-like consistency.
No gas is formed during normal operation and small amounts of gas are returned to the electrolyte.
The battery does not need to be refilled or ventilated.
Gel batteries are more expensive than AGM batteries but they also have a longer service life and can withstand heavier loads.
